演讲主题介绍 Abstract
Sarva-tath?gata-tattva-samgraha 在唐朝被不空法师译为《金刚顶一切如来真实摄大乘现
证大教王经》，而被宋朝的施护译为《佛说一切如来真实摄大乘现证三昧大教王经》。这次
演讲的焦点将摆在 Sarva-tath?gata-tattva-sa?graha以及这部经在印度佛教早期密续发展
所扮演的关键角色。透过检视和早期密续发展的《大□卢遮那成佛神变加持经》（Mah?vai
rocana-s?tra）之关系以及和後期的《秘密藏密续》（Guhyagarbha)、《密集金刚根本续》
（Guhyasam?ja）之间的关系，显示Sarva-tath?gata-tattva-sa?graha的创新及其重要性。

This talk will focus on the Compendium of Principles (Sarva-tath?gata-tattva-sa
?graha) and its pivotal role in the early development of Buddhist tantra in Ind
ia, looking at its innovations and importance both in relation to earlier tantr
ic developments such as the Mah?vairocana-s?tra and in relation to later tantri
c developments such as the Secret Nucleus (Guhyagarbha) and Secret Assembly (Gu
hyasam?ja) tantras. This will include topics such as the account of ??kyamuni’
s enlightenment recast in tantric terms and other new narratives central to the
development of tantra; innovative tantric techniques such as deity yoga and ot
her practices involving violence; the structure of tantric ma??alas; and the fo
rmation and structure of cycles of tantric texts and practices.
讲者简介 Speaker’s Introduction
Dr. Steven Weinberger是维吉尼亚大学宗教研究所研究助理教授。他於Amherst大学取得人
类学学士，并於维吉尼亚大学取得西藏佛教博士学位。师事於Jeffrey Hopkins教授，博士
论文主要研究早期印度和西藏密续佛教的发展。他曾在尼波尔和印度两年，向多位西藏学僧
学习。目前担任西藏西马拉雅电子图书馆(THDL)主任，以及国际西藏研究协会期刊(JIATS)
的管理编辑。曾在维吉尼亚大学教授西藏语言课程，并且共同编辑《流利藏文》一书。同时
，多年来也担任藏文口译。
Dr. Steven Weinberger is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Re
ligious Studies, University of Virginia. He received his PhD in Tibetan and Bu
ddhist Studies from the University of Virginia, where he studied under Dr. Jeff
rey Hopkins. His research has focused on the early history and development of
tantric Buddhism in India and Tibet. He has studied with a number of Tibetan la
mas and spent almost two years in India and Nepal doing research. He is curren
tly the manager of the Tibetan and Himalayan Library, based at the University
of Virginia, and is managing editor of the Journal of the International Associa
tion of Tibetan Studies. He has taught Tibetan language courses at the Universi
ty of Virginia (both spoken and literary Tibetan) and was a collaborator on Flu
ent Tibetan: A Proficiency Oriented Learning System. He has also served as the
oral translator for teachings by various Tibetan lamas.
