 2003年2月，台湾以52比32击败希腊雅典，赢得第21届听障奥林匹克运动会的主办权，
 这也是听障奥林匹克运动会创办85年来，第一次在亚洲举行。

 2009台北听障奥运捐募活动—赛蛙无动力漂浮比赛，
 是为2009台北听障奥林匹克运动会筹措举办经费

 捐款人至金石堂书局认养赛蛙，每认养一只，
 将获得印有代表该赛蛙之编号的认养证书一张，
 而所有受认养之赛蛙将於2006年5月31日（端午节）
 倒进台北大佳河滨公园河面，利用潮流作漂浮竞赛。
