说明：许多人不认识基督。基督是万主之主、万王之王。如果我们以基督作
为我们生命的焦点，我们的福气就数算不尽，不管是今生或来生。许多不信
的人不知此秘诀、就是已经信了的人也有许多不知道的，因此大受亏损，所
以我们在此一题。

在美国职业高尔夫球赛中，名人锦标赛是最具盛名的比赛。2009年，肯尼．佩里
在决赛时，原本一路领先，最後却落居第二。《纽约时报》用「虽失望但不沮丧
」这句话，来描述佩里输掉比赛後的表现。佩里说：「偶尔我会回想，如果我采
取不同的方式会不会赢？但是我不会陷在懊悔当中。如果这是我人生中发生过最
坏的事情，我的情况还不算太糟。我不会让失望的情绪纠缠著我。人生中有太多
更重要的事情……，我今天会回家跟家人团聚，享受天伦之乐。」
对基督徒而言，我们的焦点决定了我们如何面对人生的胜利和失败。我们不应定
睛在那些让我们失望的事情上。「所以你们若真与基督一同复活，就当求在上面
的事；那里有基督坐在上帝的右边。你们要思念上面的事，不要思念地上的事」
（歌罗西书3章1-2节）。
换言之，自我的肯定与生命的意义不在於自身的成就，而在於基督。我们追求的
是基督，而非个人的成功。
当我们竭力追求卓越并努力付出时，失败虽然会带来痛苦，但只要我们的心思意
念是在基督的身上，那麽这失败就不会伤害我们。DCM

并决定我们是否获得了成功。
请帮助我们，即使在失望中，
仍能持续专注於祢。阿们。

When Christ is the center of your focus, everything else comes into
proper perspective.
Winning And Losing

The Masters Tournament is one of the most prestigious in
professional golf. In 2009, Kenny Perry placed second after leading
during the final round. Writing inThe New York Times, Bill Pennington
described Perry as 「 disappointed but not despondent 」 after the
loss. 「 I 』 ll look back on it occasionally and wonder what I might
have done differently, but I won 』 t dwell on it, 」 Perry said. 「
If this is the worst thing that happens in my life, I 』 ve got it
pretty good. I won 』 t let it dog me. There are so many other things
in life that matter more.... I 』 ll go home tonight with my family
and we 』 ll have fun. 」
The ability to look beyond our disappointments is essential for
followers of Christ. Our focus determines how we face the victories
and defeats in life. 「 If then you were raised with Christ, seek
those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right
hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth
」 (Col. 3:1-2). This way of thinking looks to Christ, rather than our
achievements, for significance and validation. We seek Him, not
success.
When we strive for excellence and give our best effort, losing
hurts, but it doesn 』 t have to harm us. The key is where we set our
minds and hearts.
Lord, thank You that You are the one
who measures how we』ve done in life
and determines whether we』ve been successful.
Help us to keep that focus even in disappointments.
