阿育王统治的人多吗？

阿育王时期中国正值战国时代，希腊亚历山大帝国已分裂，孔雀王朝应该是当时全球最大的政权，据估计统治当时全球约三成人口，遣使弘化佛教的范围跨及亚洲、北非、欧洲地中海一带。

统治的地区包含印度半岛（印度次大陆）除了最南端，以及北方与西方的接邻地方：

人口方面，学者一般估计阿育王时的孔雀王朝统治约3000万至5000万人，约占全球人口的三至四成：
